The one-day workshop will be held on 21 April 2016 in Bonn, Germany, back-to-back with the Regional Consultation on The State of Europe`s and Central Asia`s Biodiversity for Food and Agriculture.
The workshop "Implementation of FAO Global Plans of Action: which role for the European Commission ?" will be organised in the context of the ongoing European Commission preparatory action on "EU plant and animal genetic resources" <a href=”http://www.geneticresources.eu.” rel=”external”>www.geneticresources.eu.</a> It aims at providing inputs on how to improve communication, knowledge exchange and networking among all the actors potentially interested in activities related to the conservation and sustainable use of genetic resources for food and agriculture. Moreover, this project aims to find recommendations for a better integration of genetic resources activities at EU level. For a successful workshop, participants will be invited to share their own experience on the topic and to actively participate in the discussion.
